With the postponement of the 11th RITAG meeting in 2020 and current travel restrictions in the Asia Pacific region, a virtual meeting was held on the Teams platform on 11th and 12th Nov 2021.

Comprising of a two half-day sessions, the theme for the meeting this year is on " Responding in a post-COVID-19 world: Current & Future challenges / opportunities for OSROs in the Asia Pacific region? ".

Day 1 started as we welcomed new representatives from PIMMAG (Capt. Zalina Bt. Sungip) and KOEM (Ms. Judy Ham). It was also a great opportunity to catch up with our friends from other OSROs since it's been a while since everyone last met. Following the introduction, Mr. Darren Waterman (OSRL) addressed the audience in a keynote speech and commenced the series of technical sharing by KOEM, MDPC, COES, OSRL, PVDO, IESG and PIMMAG.

Day 2 of the event focused on two broad agendas:

1. To review discussion during the 10th RITAG Steering Committee Meeting in 2019
2. To review the results of feedback survey on RITAG and embark on discussion to move RITAG forward to meet the changing challenges of the industry.

With enthusiasm and commitment towards the goals of RITAG, the discussions made good progress and ended in a positive note.

Due to sudden emergence of COVID-19, the originally planned Face-to-Face meeting in 2020 was postponed till 2021.

"PVD Offshore Services Company Limited" joined RITAG, as of 10 January 2019. 

​The 9th RITAG meeting will be held on 29 – 31 October 2018 will be hosted by PIMMAG n Port Dickson, Malaysia.

Highlights for 2018
9th RITAG meeting was held in Port Dickson, Malaysia from 29 - 31 October 2018. The meeting was hosted by PIMMAG with the theme: OSRO and industry partnership in developing response capability to overcome new challenges. The 3-day meeting was attended by guests from Malaysia Marine Department, Korean Coast Guard, PVD Offshore, NASOS and Subject Matter Experts from the industry. Mutual collaboration and strong partnerships between OSROs and Industry will certainly bring capability development in the right direction as desired by both parties.

Upcoming activities for 2019
RITAG welcome PVD Offshore to join as a new member. PVD Offshore is leading oil spill organization in Vietnam has been providing their services to the oil and gas industry for over 15 years. PVD Offshore brings their wealth of experience in managing oil spill preparedness and response in Vietnam into the RITAG forum and will widen the perspective and enhance expertise in Asia Pacific region.
